TO FIT IN A RECESS
To measure for a blind that fits into the recess of your window please follow these simple steps.
- Measuring the width first, please measure in three places.
- Placing the tape measure against the wall and measure across the other side of the wall.
- Do this again with the drop – top to bottom.
- Measure in the same way – 3 measurements from the top of the recess to the bottom of window, three measurements – left – centre – right.
- Again take the shortest measurement and make a note of it.
These are the measurements you will need to submit to us.
Please do not make any adjustments to these measurements, as we will take off the necessary amounts for the blind to fit perfectly
You will require Top Fix Clips for this type of blind
HOW TO MEASURE FOR A SQUARE BAY -- Please state Bay on ordering page
Square bay windows will require 89mm slats as 127mm will be too bulky.
--------------- Dimension A ----------------

--- Dimension B --------- Dimension C ---
- Dimension A - Measure width of front window at the top. Order this as your recess blind.
- Dimension B - Measure to front window and deduct 95mm (This allows for front blind)
- Dimension C - Measure same as dimension B. For the drop measure in several different places and take the shortest measurement.
For this situation either Top Fix clips fit into the ceiling or Face Fix brackets into frames can be used. This method of measuring allows the blind to clear window handles.
HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN ANGLED BAY -- Please state Bay on ordering page
In a bay top fix clips can be fixed into the ceiling or face fix into the frame.
- Where windows are at an angle , measure out 95mm from each frame at 90 degrees. Where they meet is the start of the blind measurement.
- This is easier to do on the windowsill with masking tape to mark on
- This method of measuring allows the blind to clear window handles.
