Shutters – or window shutters, interior shutters or plantation shutters as they’re otherwise known, have been around for a very long time. They’ve recently had a resurgence in popularity due to their classic look and visual appeal. There’s a lot to recommend them as they’re versatile, long-lasting and easy to clean. They are also energy efficient, child safe and could increase the value of your property.
Types of Shutters
With shutters, one size definitely does not fit all. In fact, there are lots of different styles to choose from. We can help you understand how these are different and what might work best for your home:
• Solid Wood Panels
• Café Style
• Full Height
Because shutters are so versatile, they can be used not only in all styles, and shapes, of windows including bays and skylights. Shutters can even be used as room dividers or cupboard doors!
Colours and Finishes
Most people opt for classic white but, dependent on the range, we can supply and fit shutters in a range of neutral colours through to bright shades. We can even colour match to suit your room.
New Dawn have ranges that come in hardwood, vinyl and faux wood. Many can incorporate a mirrored finish (which would come in handy on that wardrobe door!)
Tailor Made Shutters
One of the things that makes Shutters so amazing is that they are created to perfectly fit your space, and that space doesn’t have to be a rectangle. Shutters are a great way to showcase what would otherwise be awkward windows, whether they are triangular, round or hexagonal. We challenge you to find a shape we can’t shutter.
